Ceramics are undoubtedly a fresh concept in the daily chemical packaging market. Even before May of this year, most finished product manufacturers and packaging suppliers could not imagine that ceramics could also be used as daily chemical packaging materials.     Ceramics are undoubtedly a fresh concept in the daily chemical packaging market. Before May of this year, most finished product manufacturers and packaging suppliers could not imagine that ceramics could also be used as daily chemical packaging materials. Shanghai Gaocheng Art Packaging Co., Ltd. launched more than eighty ceramic material daily chemical packaging products at this year's Shanghai Beauty Expo, attracting great attention from the industry. Gaocheng is originally an integrated packaging company focused on high-end liquor and luxury goods packaging, and its foray into daily chemical packaging using ceramics is a 'breakthrough' following the cooperation intention reached between Chanel and Gaocheng in 2010 to use ceramics for perfume bottles. Currently, Gaocheng's collaboration with the internationally renowned perfume brand Dior has begun, and the design of Dior's exclusive ceramic perfume bottle is nearing completion.

    Applying new ceramic materials to high-end cosmetic packaging is undoubtedly an innovative move, which requires very stringent technical standards. Wen Jiang, deputy manager of Gaocheng's marketing department, told reporters that 'using ceramic materials has very high technical requirements because perfumes are highly volatile. If the craftsmanship requirements for items like bottle caps are not met, it can easily lead to leakage issues, and the costs are significantly higher compared to other materials. The cost is not only reflected in the use of materials but also because the final process of ceramic bottles involves hand-painted blue-and-white porcelain or underglaze gold techniques; the product surface must go through at least a dozen manufacturing processes. Therefore, ceramic products have a higher cost, and the final selling price should be around 30-50 yuan, so applications are mainly concentrated in high-end fields.'
