How to inspect the quality of cosmetic packaging materials?

However, the quality of custom cosmetic bottle manufacturers varies greatly. Therefore, after receiving the goods, it is necessary to check not only whether the quantity is complete but also to inspect the quality. How to check whether the quality of cosmetic injection molding bottles meets standards? What are the criteria? 1. Appearance: Mainly based on visual inspection, in a well-lit environment, using normal vision to check at a distance of 20cm-30cm directly in front of the eyes for any surface defects, foreign objects, scratches, and other quality issues. 2.

Therefore, after receiving the goods, it is necessary to check not only whether the quantity is complete but also to test the quality. How to inspect whether the quality of cosmetic injection bottles meets standards?
 
 
 
 1. Appearance: Mainly based on visual inspection in a well-lit environment, check at a distance of 20cm-30cm from the eyes with normal vision for any surface defects, foreign objects, scratches, and other quality issues.
 
       2. Dimensions: Measure and record values using a ruler or a caliper with an accuracy of 0.02mm to see if they meet size standards.
 
       3. Weight: Weigh samples using a scale with a graduation value of 0.1g and record values to see if they meet agreed size standards.
 
       4. Capacity: Weigh the sample on a scale with a graduation value of 0.1g, remove the tare weight of the bottle, fill it with tap water until full and record the value (if necessary, directly inject cream or convert water density with cream).
 
       5. Print adhesion and hot stamping (gold/silver) durability: ① Use 3M810 testing tape to cover printed and hot stamped (gold/silver) areas, smooth out without bubbles, then quickly tear off; perform this on printed areas three times and hot stamped areas two times consecutively. ② Wipe printed areas back and forth twice with gauze soaked in disinfectant alcohol.
 
       6. Flip cover performance: At room temperature, flip open and close the lid manually for 200 times without breaking; tightness and sealing should be consistent before flipping.
 
       7. Cap compatibility test: The cap should fit smoothly without slipping; there are two types of fit between bottle and cap: threaded type and snap-on type; for snap-on type, gap ≤0.4mm; for threaded type, gap should be between 0.1mm ≤ gap ≤ 0.6mm.
 
      8. Tightness test: ① Fill the bottle with water equal to its net content weight or volume, place it in a vacuum chamber, vacuum to -0.05MPa for five minutes without leakage occurring. ② If the above vacuum tests fail, add water equal to its net content weight or volume into the bottle sidewise for 24 hours without leakage occurring (this method applies only to wide-mouth bottles).
 
 
    9. Drop test: Fill the bottle with water equal to its net content weight or volume, secure the cap tightly; drop from specified height at a diagonal angle of 45 degrees downwards onto cement ground three times each without cracking, leaking or separating parts occurring. For products labeled net content >200ml/g drop height is set at 1.2m; for products labeled net content ≤200ml/g drop height is set at 1.5m.
 
       10. Heat resistance and cold resistance tests:① Heat resistance test: Add water equal to net content weight or volume into sample bottles; after placing them sideways in an incubator (48±1℃) for 24 hours there should be no cracking, deformation, discoloration or leakage occurring.② Cold resistance test: Add water equal to net content weight or volume into sample bottles; after placing them sideways in refrigerator (-10℃ to -15℃) for 24 hours there should be no cracking, deformation discoloration or leakage occurring.
 
       11. Barcode readability: The barcode can be read clearly and accurately by barcode scanners in one go. 5.4 Judgment on batch inspection pass/fail criteria: For appearance inspection items and functional inspection items based on sample inspection results if defective items found in samples are less than or equal to acceptable judgment number then that batch is deemed qualified; if defective items found are greater than or equal to unacceptable judgment number then that batch is deemed unqualified.
